Fixed Price Research
A fixed price package can represent the best value option
There are three to choose from:
Starter (from £175)
Researches a single ancestral line (one surname) from your chosen starting point.
This is usually one person born around the first half of the 20th century e.g. a grandparent.
As a rule of thumb, the research takes a line back 2 or 3 generations but, unlike some researchers, I won’t limit it to a fixed number of generations. I’ll research as far back as available records allow. I’ll also include basic information about any siblings so you can decide whether to continue with further research on another line. This is something else that not all researchers offer.
You’ll receive (in electronic format):
● A narrative Descendant Report, including all the available references and source notes.
● Copies of 1841, 1851, 1861, 1871, 1881, 1891, 1901, 1911, 1921 census returns and 1939 Register entries (subject to their availability in the archives. Due to the image supplier's pricing structure, 1921 census pages may attract an additional charge).
● Any other documents discovered whilst researching your ancestors e.g. criminal, military service, emigration or Parish records.
● A family tree (this may include pictures of family members if you provide a copy).
This package can include paper copies of up to 5 Birth, Marriage and Death certificates obtained from the General Register Office (GRO) on your behalf. These items will be posted to you. Prices include P&P.
Price: Including Birth, Marriage and Death certificates £250. Without certificates £175. Instead, you will receive the necessary GRO reference information to enable you to purchase certificates for yourself, along with instructions on how to do so.

Standard (from £300)
Shares the same features as the Starter, but this option researches two ancestral lines (two surnames) from your chosen starting point.
This is usually one couple born around the early part of the 20th century e.g. both grandparents where you may choose, for example, to find out about grandfather's male line and grandmother’s female line.
In addition to the documentation in electronic format outlined above, this package can include up to 15 Birth, Marriage and Death certificates. These items will be posted to you. Prices include P&P.
Price: Including Birth, Marriage and Death certificates £500. Without certificates £300. Instead, you will receive the necessary GRO reference information to enable you to purchase certificates for yourself, along with instructions on how to do so.

Premium (from £600)
Shares similar features as the Starter and Standard packages, but this option researches four ancestral lines (four surnames) back to, typically, your 8 great grandparents.
The starting point is usually one couple born around the early part of the 20th century e.g. both grandparents. However, unlike the Starter and Standard packages, the Premium package is limited to those 8 great grandparents.
This is because of the amount of work (and additional cost) involved in researching up to a further 16 ancestors at great-great grandparent level. If you want to find out more about any (or all) of your great-great grandparents, or even earlier generations, I recommend taking this research forward on a pay-as-you-go basis.
In addition to the documentation in electronic format outlined above, this package can include up to 30 Birth, Marriage and Death certificates. These items will be posted to you. Prices include P&P.
Price: Including Birth, Marriage and Death certificates £950. Without certificates £600. Instead, you will receive the necessary GRO reference information to enable you to purchase certificates for yourself, along with instructions on how to do so.
